Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and has Chinese origins, however her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia's parents split up at the age of 2 years old. She was raised by her mother along with her stepfather, who is a United States Air Force officer. Although the family departed Oklahoma and resided in many places, she was educated in Tokyo, Japan. In the years that followed she performed in various local theater productions and later was a model in the Japanese fashion business. When the family eventually returned back to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her aspirations of becoming a professional actress. Following a handful of small parts and a few small roles, her career took off on a very promising turn after she secured the part as Mily Acuna in Hawaii's lensed TV series Beyond the Break (2006) and also the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist Big Stan (2007). She hosts the podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" as well as "The Daily Nut". She is a huge fan of surfing and has been practicing since she saw the TV show Beyond the Break (2006). Black belts are hers in the martial art of taekwondo. In the year she turned two old, her mother got married again and this time with one in the US Air Force. Her family was primarily from Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather was a member. The university she attended was the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major, with minors of Japanese and dramatic art.
